Unites States Championship Reigns

It's time to talk about the Unites States Championship reigns from 2011-2014,some of these are really surprising but they helped develop some interesting upper mid card rivalries that gave the belt prestige.

2011
1-Dolph Ziggler-During the RTWM 27 Ziggler joined Cena and Beth Phoenix to take over RAW,the idea was for Cena to become WWE Champion and for Ziggler and Beth to retain their belts throughout the summer. Cena and Ziggler became a tag team that feuded with Air Boom,Kofi started feuding with Ziggler and won the belt at the Royal Rumble which was something i didnt expect,the idea originally was for Ziggler to retain the belt until Summerslam at least,so after feuding with Kofi,he would feud with Evan and perhaps even Zack Ryder,that never happened.
2-Kofi Kingston-Kofi retained at EC even with Cena at ringside,unfortunately Cena ended Kofi's short reign at Wrestlemania 27 but due to that he didnt become WWE Champion for almost 4 years,cool uh? 2 motnhs
3-John Cena-Cena retained at ER in a 2 out of 3 falls match ending the feud with Kofi,i never gave Evan a chance to feud with Cena. However Del Rio,Truth and Rey defeated Cena in the coming weeks on RAW leading to a Fatal-4-Way at OTL where Cena retained in a Ladder match. Del Rio and Cena started tagging against Rey/Truth losing and winning a couple of matches while Punk defeated Cena on RAW which gave Punk a shot at Cena at the Capitol Punishment event where Punk won by DQ. At MITB Punk defeated Cena in a Ladder match becoming USA Champion for the 1st time in his career,sadly it was a short reign. 3 months for this reign
4-CM Punk-Punk lost the belt back to Cena at Summerslam in a Steel Cage match. 1 month
5-John Cena-Ziggler got jealous of Cena's partnership with Del Rio,due to that Ziggler betrayed Cena in a match for the WWE Tag Team Titles against The Usos at the event while Cena defeated Dolph to retain his belt. Due to Ziggler getting injured,the rivalry was postponed and instead Swagger and Hawkins started attacking Cena leading to a Tables match for the belt at HIAC against Swagger which Cena lost. 2 months.
6-Jack Swagger-This was Swagger's first USA Title reign. Unfortunately he got injured so Cena faced Hawkins at Bragging Rights instead,winning. A USA Title Tournament was done to crown a new champion in case Swagger wouldnt return in time to defend his belt at Survivor Series,the winner of the tournament was Big Show. Cena used his rematch clause at the evnt but lost. Show fought Swagger at TLC unfortunately winning the belt. 2 months

2012
7-Big Show-Show succesfuly retained against Swagger in a Last Man Standing match for the belt after which Swagger got injured. Show got injured during a match against Cody on RAW after the event and due to that the 1st ever Elimination Chmaber match for the vacant United States Championship was held,Riley won that match defeating Hunico,Santino,Miz,Rhodes and Hawkins. 2 months due to injury,also he never received a rematch for the belt against Riley.
8-Alex Riley-After winning the belt,Hunico and Duke Corpse started a feud with A-Ry for the belt as Hunico blamed A-Ry for his 2nd loss as an Undertaker follower but Riley never put his belt on the line before Wrestlemania 27 instead Corpse betrayed Hunico and that's why the idea was scrapped. Zeke had a random match against Riley for the belt at ER but lost and got sent to NXT cutting short the rivalry which was almost non existent. Riley and Ryder fought each other in matches as "friends",Riley gave Ryder a shot for his belt at OTL but Ryder failed to win. Then Truth started a short feud with Riley for the belt winning and losing matches against Riley until facing Riley at NWO but losing,Rey was appointed to be the special guest referee by HHH but abused his power and was forced to leave the ring and replaced by a referee,Riley retained. Clay then started a feud against A-Ry winning the belt at MITB in a singles match. 5 months,pretty cool.
9-Brodus Clay-At Summerslam,Clay destroyed A-Ry in a LMS match retaining. Clay's partnership with Miz was affected due to Clay being the champion while Santino and Ryder also started getting into Clay's business leading to a Fatal-4Way for the belt at NOC where Ryder successfully won by pinning Santino while Clay was distracted by Miz. 2 months.
10-Zack Ryder-Unfortunately for Ryder,he lost the LMS rematch to Clay at HIAC,i wanted Ryder to retain so he would feud with Miz,Swagger and Ziggler for it,eventually losing it.
11-Brodus Clay-At Capitol Punishment Clay fought Miz and Ryder in a triple threat (he used his rematch clause),losing the belt to Miz. 1 month.
12-The Miz-Miz successfully defeated Clay in a LMS match on RAW barely retaining the belt. Swagger returned to dethrone Miz at TLC but was unsuccessful. At the 2013 Royal Rumble Miz lost the belt to Dean Ambrose who won the contendership by defeating Tensai,Miz was going through a babyface turn. Like 3 months.

2013
13-Dean Ambrose-Miz got injured before he could use his rematch clause at EC,in order to make Ambrose look dominant another Elimination Chamber match for the belt happened where Ambrose lost the belt to Ryback. 1 month.
14-Ryback-2 weeks after winning the belt,Ambrose used his rematch clause on RAW regaining the belt. The shortest USA title reign thus far.
15-Dean Ambrose-Unfortunately,Ambrose lost the belt back to Ryback 3 weeks later in a LMS rematch on RAW.
16-Ryback-This 2nd USA Title reign was certainly longer than the 1st one. At Extrene Rules Ambrose fought Ryback for the last time in a Tables match in the main event but lost. Miz returned from injury and turned on his former friend Ryback blaming him for the injury,Miz lost to Ryback in an I Quit match at OTL and in a singles match at NWO,the belt wasnt defended at MITB. However Rey decided to challenge Ryback next at Summerslam to avenge The Miz's constant losses to Ryback,Ryback lost the belt in shocking fashion,i actually wanted him to lose it later,maybe in an EC match in 2014.
17-Rey Mysterio-However,Mysterio's joy was very short because Rollins started to attack both superstars,he had unfinished business with Ryback since the rivalry with Ambrose and as far as Rey,that was random. Mysterio lost the belt to Rollins at NOC in a Ladder match and since Ryback lost his rematch clause he could challenge Rollins for the belt.
18-Seth Rollins-Rollins defeated Rey in a 2 out of 3 falls match to retain his belt on RAW,there was no place on the HIAC card for him to defend the belt. Since The Shield was feuding with Jerishow for the belts,after the rivalry with Rey was over Rollins fought against Show (who used his rematch clause from 2012) at Survivor Series retaining. Kofi successfully defeated Ambrose and Clay in a triple threat match on RAW to face Rollins for the belt at TLC but lost. The original idea was for Clay (who turned face a few weeks before the event) to win and feud with Rollins until Elimination Chamber. Clay,however defeated Kofi on the most recent episode of RAW to become No 1 Contender for the belt at the 2014 Royal Rumble,lets see how that turns out.
