Divas Championship reigns

Welcome to another article about the WWE Title reigns,thus far we've seen the WWE,World Heavyweight,Tag Team,Intercontinental and United States Title reigns. It's time for the Divas Championship folks.

2011
1-Kelly Kelly-Default WWE 12 champion,Beth faced her twice before the Rumble winning on both ocasions,at the Rumble Kelly lost her title,i wasn't interested in her as Divas Champion.
2-Beth Phoenix-At Elimination Chamber,Beth succesfully retained in a FCA rematch. Beth teased feuding with Eve but that never materialized,she didn't defend the belt at Wrestlemania 27 and Extreme Rules,yeah that's sad. Beth was forced to defend against Alicia Fox in a squash match the next night on RAW after Extreme Rules,Layla challenged Beth to a match at OTL but lost,at Capitol Punishment they faced each other again in a Submission match but Beth disqualified herself.
At MITB,Beth with Natalya ringside defeated Layla in a No DQ FCA match ending their feud. Maryse then challenged Beth at Summerslam with the added stipulation that the loser would leave WWE,Maryse lost. Beth and Natalya had problems with one another leading to a match at NOC for the belt where Beth retained,at HIAC though Natalya defeated Beth in an incredible submission match ending Beth's long Divas title reign.
3-Natalya-At Bragging Rights another submission match happened between Natalya and Beth with Beth losing once more ending their rivalry. Natalya then seamed to start a feud with Tamina but no match for the belt was booked at Survivor Series. She was also absent from WWE programing until after TLC. It was later revealed Natalya got injured and a tournament to crown a new Divas Champion took place,the finale saw Kaitlyn defeat Tamina at the 2012 Royal Rumble to crown herself champion.

2012
4-Kaitlyn-Kaitlyn defended her belt at Elimination Chamber in a Fatal-4-Way against the 3 divas she had her eye on ever since her debut:Beth,Natalya and Tamina,successfully retaining. Natalya used her rematch clause to try and regain the belt from Kaitlyn on the last Smackdown before Wrestlemania 28 but in a losing effort. Natalya continued feuding with Kaitlyn at Extreme Rules where she almost regains the belt but Kaitlyn made Natalya lose by Count Out to retain.
Kaitlyn didnt defend her belt before and at the OTL event. Kaitlyn feuded with Tamina next retaining at NWO by Count Out in a submission match. Tamina challenged Kaitlyn at MITB but in a No DQ match,Kaitlyn managed to retain by Count Out. At Summerslam one final match was done to determine the rightful owner of the title,a 2 out of 3 falls No DQ match,the stipulation was that if Kaitlyn disqualified herself,she would be stripped of the title immediately.
Kaitlyn started feuding with Layla by making her lose matches on Smackdown leading to a Steel Cage match at NOC where the only way to win was to pin your opponent,Kaitlyn retained "fair and square" without DQs nor anything like that. At HIAC though Layla defeated Kaitlyn in a submission match ending her first and only,thus far,long title reign.
5-Layla-At Capitol Punishment,Layla retained in a FCA match ending the feud with Kaitlyn. Layla started a feud with Natalya next leading to a match at Survivor Series with Layla coming out the victor. At TLC,Layla defeated Natalya,Beth and Kaitlyn in a Fatal-4-Way Ladder match. Beth defeated Kaitlyn on Smackdown to get a shot at Layla at the 2013 Royal Rumble,Layla retained. They faced off as well at Elimination Chamber in a Steel Cage match winning by pinfall (that was the stipulation to win and prevent cheating to retain) and finally ended their feud in a Loser leaves WWE match at Wrestlemania 29 with Layla retaining in an Iron Man match 3 pins to 1.
Aksana defeated AJ in a No 1 Contender's match leading to a feud against Layla at Extreme Rules in an ER match where Aksana lost. At OTL though,Aksana shocked everyone by defeating Layla in a submission match winning the Divas Championship for the first time.

2013
6-Aksana-At NWO,Aksana successfully defeated Layla to retain the divas belt in a FCA match. Natalya then threatened to hurt AJ if Aksana wouldn't give her a shot at her title at MITB,Aksana wrestled against Natalya a lot before the event losing some matches but retaining at MITB. At Summerslam,Aksana defended her belt once more against Natalya in a submission match,however Aksana was screwed when the referee gave the victory to Natalya by pinfall in controversial fashion. Apparently Aksana wasn't told before the match that Natalya changed the stipulation of the match.
7-Natalya-At NOC Aksana fought Natalya once more but this time in a real submission match,still Natalya retained. Aksana defeated Kaitlyn on the last Smackdown before HIAC but Natalya defended against Kaitlyn in a No Way Out of the Ring match,retaining. Due to that,HHH forced Natalya to defend her belt against Kaitlyn,Aksana and AJ in a Fatal-4-Way Steel Cage match for the Divas Championship on Smackdown before Survivor Series with Aksana regaining the belt. The idea,originally,was for AJ or Kaitlyn to win the belt. If AJ won she would have turned heel on Aksana in 2014 and if Kaitlyn won,she would have feuded with Aksana and then would have lost the belt to AJ.
8-Aksana-However,before TLC Natalya defeated Aksana again in a submission match ending,once and for all,their feud.
9-Natalya-Natalya decided to go after AJ,attacking her during a match against Kaitlyn on RAW. AJ defeated Aksana to become No 1 Contender for the belt at the 2014 Royal Rumble while Natalya has said she wont give Aksana yet another rematch since she has been given far too many chances already,instead Natalya will face AJ for the Divas Championship at the 2014 Royal Rumble. The stipulation is still unknown.
